Privacy notice
How we handle what you send us
Last updated October 16, 2026
This notice covers ownsteadsystems.com, run by Ownstead Systems in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas. It explains what we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@ownsteadsystems.com.
What we collect
- What you type into our forms. The consultation request, the quick note and the Partner Program forms ask for your name, email, business and the answers you choose to give. Phone number is optional.
- Basic request data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and keeps short-lived logs for security and troubleshooting.
We don’t use cookies, advertising trackers or analytics, pages load nothing from other companies’ servers, and we don’t buy or sell personal information.
Why we use it
Only to reply to you, prepare for your consultation, run the Partner Program, and keep the site secure. We don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
Where it goes
- Our request tracker. Form submissions become entries in a private tracker hosted with GitHub. Only the Ownstead team can see them.
- Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf.
- Booking. If you book a call, you use Google Calendar’s booking page, under Google’s privacy policy.
Saved answers on your device
The consultation form can save your answers in your browser so you can finish later, but only if you tick “Save my answers”. They stay on that device, are removed after 7 days or when you send the request, and you can clear them at any time. We recommend leaving it off on a shared computer.
How long we keep it
We keep requests while we’re talking with you and for a reasonable time afterward for our business records. Ask us and we’ll delete yours.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete what you’ve sent us by emailing hello@ownsteadsystems.com. We’ll reply within a reasonable time.
Changes
If this notice changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
